Week 3: In the Flickr Of An Eye

Flickr is fun. I enjoy looking, but am not too sure that I would post anything of a personal nature. Sometimes the images that come up are of people, and then it has the sort of creepy feel of looking at a stranger's photo album. Like walking over Great-Aunt-Minnie-who-died-last-year or something.

Flickr might be something I would use for general things - pictures of cats, horses, scenery. For more personal things I use Picasa and Photobucket. I did really enjoy the trading card maker. I'm seeing Christmas presents here. A set of trading cards of her horse for a kid from the stable, a set of grandkids for grandma, maybe even beadwork. It could be fun. I started out with a set of cats' eyes. Every color, every shape. Enjoy the beauty.

Weeks 1-2:A Time For All Things

They say there is a time for all things, and I guess that is so. I have been thinking about doing this (blogging) for some time, and this program has just given me that last little push that I needed to actually begin. The new technologies are a blast and I want to be a part of that. I really, really enjoy teaching and I see this as a great way to teach. My initial goal is to create a podcast of a beading technique and post it on YouTube for patrons to use.

As far as the 7 1/2 habits... no problem. Learning is fun. The most difficult thing is finding the time. I need 150% of a day's hours to cram into it all of the things I want to do. I definitely subscribe to the idea that a man's reach should exceed his grasp. Reaching, and learning, should be a way of life, not just an exercise for a few weeks.

I intend to have fun, fellow bloggers, and I know you will too.
